Join us for a small “Pilgrimage of Trust” in Atlanta in October 2019. Br. John and Br. Émile will be in town for some small gatherings and prayers during the first week in October. The Pilgrimage of Trust is what the Taizé Community calls meetings of people around the world who come together for prayer and reflection together on the sources of faith and the work we are called to in the human family. We seek to build trust in God, in one another across divisions of all kinds. Join us for all or a part of the pilgrimage this fall.
The first evening, October 1, at Central will be a prayer and a short time of welcoming the brothers to Atlanta. Wednesday, October 2, and Thursday, October 3, the evenings will consist of a brief history of the Community of Taize and a conversation centered around themes important to the Community: hospitality, Christ’s presence in our lives, and the sources of faith. The conversation will be followed by a Taize prayer consist of singing, scripture, silence and intercession for the world. See below for the schedule and feel free to contact us with any questions.
In addition to producing the familiar melodic chants, the Taizé Community has engaged in work of reconciliation among Christians and among the human family for over 50 years. The Pilgrimage of Trust is an uninterrupted succession of meetings of young adults, which began in the Community of Taizé several decades ago, and continues today on all continents.
Join us for any part or all evenings of this Pilgrimage of Trust in our city. Up to date information will also be posted on our Taizé Atlanta Facebook page. For general questions, please contact Lisa Persons, email@example.com.
